Im looking to upgrade from my env3 to a new smart phone. I have been looking at the droid x. My question is i dont want the phone im stuck with for two years to be old technology in a couple months. will it be? Any opinions on the best Verizon smart phone would be good too!

Ok, so I took my permit test for driving today and I missed 11. You’re only allowed to miss 8. Before I even took the test my mom was pissed because my social security number was funky because my father adopted me and forgot to change it or something like that after she told him to. I don’t know the exact details, but she was upset. As for me, I don’t think I was taught very well in drivers ed, all we did was watch a bunch of videos telling us not to drink & text and drive etc. My mom insisted that I take it in person instead of online because it was “safer.” She really worried about me driving, and tells me not to text and drive and all that, but gets mad at me when I tell her not to read and talk on the phone etc. while driving. Anyways, I get straight A’s in school, I got a 5 on my first AP test. Never do drugs or alcohol, etc. I’m going into 10th grade, so I’m not stupid, however my mom thinks otherwise. I’m more book smart rather than street smart, however, I thought the test would be mostly common sense and the date kind of snuck up on me as it is summer vacation right now. So as we were driving home from the dmv my mom starts shouting at me and was really pissed at me and my dad (for not doing the adoption paperwork stuff) and kept saying that it was a “wasted day” because she had to take off morning work. She said a lot of other stuff that I don’t remember, but she made me cry. I’m a perfectionist, so I’m already really upset with myself for not passing, but it doesn’t help when my mom is this way. Aren’t parents supposed to help you get back up when you fall down and encourage you? All she did was snap and yell at me. So I’m still really upset, I get sick to my stomach every time I think about it. I’m determined to pass it next week, but I don’t really know what to do about my mom. She’s always like this. So negative about everything which is why I dislike her so. It’s like our personalities are opposite. I always try to forget bad things in the past and look into the future but she dwells on them. Anyways, should I just ignore her? Please any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I want to get the Droid, but my upgrade is after the “release date” of the Droid 2.
I don’t want a Droid 2 because I don’t like getting phones that are brand new on the market because of all the various bugs and what not.
