Jehovah’s Witnesses: How Many Points Does It Take To Get To The Center Of Salvation Or Heaven For That Matter?

By admin Posted in: android

I’m talking about the hours that you report each week on your “publisher’s record card.” How many hours of service time is needed to be accepted by Jehovah?
I know there are top selling apps in the Android marketplace designed to report your hours on a smart phone. So, electronic submission is gradually replacing the old paper forms. Does Jehovah give you guys bonus points for going paperless? And can you double-tap your screen when you’re kind of bummed out and in need of new light. Or do you have to wait for the announcement in Awake Magazine?
And for those of you Jehovah’s Witnesses who are tech literate, how has the smart phone revolution affected your quest to score enough points to get eternal life? Is it making things easier? And by the way, what’s the current number of points (reportable hours) etc. needed to achieve the level of “special pioneer?”

My friend, you need some serious education in our system.
First off, you have to convert all your points to coupons every 15th of the month. Once you acquire the proper amount of coupons you must then take them to the witness hall and speak to the secretary about having your coupons exchanged for credits. Once you have acquired a substantial amount of credits you then must drive over to the main office and turn them in where they will transfer them into tokens.
After you have saved up enough tokens to exchange them for a voucher you must then take that voucher to the head collection agency where they will record the voucher number and issue you a ticket. The ticket can then be used to purchase points from our watchtower catalog.

As a former JW, I know there is no set number of hours to get to heaven. Salvation is based on works, but it all depends on the ability of the member. Unlike most religions, who believe salvation is a gift from God, JW’s belief one must work towards it, doing good things for others and volunteering as much time as possible to the church.

  3. Tears of Abs (Six Pack) Says

JWs don’t have any kind of “point system.”
Also, despite what the theological enemies of JWs say, JWs don’t believe in salvation by works. Salvation is a gift of God. Just because JWs recognize that true faith produces fine works doesn’t mean they believe those works then grant salvation. That is confusing the cause and the effect on the part of JW opposers.
It is not a good idea to learn about the beliefs of a religion from its theological enemies, especially when their bias produces obvious misinformation.

  4. Superguy Says

How many hours did the apostle Paul dedicated to spread the message of God’s kingdom?…MANY Hours and YEARS.
How many hours did the regular JW (like Paul Vargas) dedicated to spread the message of God’s kingdom?…MANY Hours and YEARS.
What is the difference???….apart of the last name…what is the difference?

    Over 9000!

I was about to give you threats, but this was actually pretty funny.

  7. Abdijah Says

I am sorry, but this “question” has no basis in reality.

  8. Matthew 4:10 Says

Why spread this false rumor? Why be dishonest? There is no point system at all. He are saved because of undeserved kindnesses of Jehovah’s and his son Jesus.

“Jehovah’s Witnesses: how many points does it take to get to the center of salvation or heaven for that matter?”
The “WORLD” may never know. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZ0epRjfG… )
    LOL! :-D
    No, but seriously…
“Furthermore, THE WORLD is passing away and so is its desire, but he that DOES the will of God remains FOREVER.”
    ~ 1 John 2:17
Your question is as absurd as your thinking that we believe that salvation can be EARNED by the Christian works that we do.
Furthermore, our keeping records of the amount of time we spend in the foretold worldwide preaching and teaching work of God’s established Heavenly Kingdom Government (Matthew 24:14) has nothing to do with our trying to “earn” salvation (as you erroneously believe), rather, it provides an AWESOME way of ENCOURAGING our fellow Christian brothers and sisters around the globe in knowing how the progress of the Christian Ministry is doing and advancing (http://bit.ly/7edquR )… Just as the recorded records of the advancement of the Ministry did for our 1st century Christian congregation counterpart (Acts 1:15; 2:41, 42, 4:4)
Stop hating on the numbers, after-all, don’t you enjoy the way they show people such as yourself the actual Annual Worldwide Statistics of PRACTICING MEMBERS of the unified, worldwide Christian congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses? Oh yeah, BTW, keep in mind that while other religious groups count their membership by occasional or annual attendance, the figure showing the number of our PRACTICING MEMBERS reflects ONLY those who are ACTIVELY INVOLVED in the public Bible educational work foretold at Matthew 24:14 and 28:19, 20: http://www.jw-media.org/aboutjw/article4…
Take a REAL GOOD LOOK at those numbers again. Now then, why not kindly tell us ALL exactly just what professed so called “Christian” denomination you’re with, and by all means please let us know how many active members WORLDWIDE are involved in the foretold preaching and teaching work concerning the Good News of God’s Kingdom? Heck, how many of you even know WHAT God’s Kingdom is?
    ???
    Yeah… I thought so. :-)
People such as yourself originate with the world and that is why when those such as yourself speak [what proceeds] from the world, the world listens to you and those like you. We on the other hand originate with God. He that gains the knowledge of God listens to us; he that does not originate with God does not listen to us. This is how we take note of the inspired expression of truth and the inspired expression of error. It’s really just that simple. Our brother the apostle John knew it to be just THAT simple (1 John 4:5, 6).
Don’t cha just love to hate us worldling? :-D
It’s okay, we sincerely pray that you someday come to see the light… rather than being totally annihilated by it.
    Ciao
    *** EDIT @ “Anthony”
ROTFLOL!!!! The answer you gave was HILLARIOUS! Thanks for the laugh brother, I totally needed it.
“The ticket can then Be used to purchase points from our watchtower catalog.”
    LOL! Priceless! :-D

  13. just a man Says

    We get points????
I had no idea! Here all along I’ve been preaching the good news because I love Jehovah and I want to make him happy. Now I know I get points from the organization I’m just so excited. What will I win Drew?
All joking aside. The reason for turning in time is soulfully for knowing how many hours a month and year are being put into the work. Like anything that is organized and by appointment there is a record kept of the progress and when there is something lacking there can be adjustments made.
It is a work based on love of God and his creations, so it is important that it is done to the highest standard of care and diligence that can be produced by man.

  14. BAR- ANERGES Says

    Greetings,
Any one who insinuates that we have some “point system” and everyone who passes it on are obviously living in a fantasy land. They have demeaned their intellect and resorted to an illogical and baseless misrepresentations.
They’ve adopted the method of the illiterate types who can only foist their own prejudicial claims on gullible individuals and demand that others accept their twisted insinuations of what Witnesses believe and do.
These people’s comments are full of the most absurd falsehoods.
These type of people have adopted the standard practice of those who oppose Witnesses which is to avoid doctrinal subjects which can be proven or disproved by the Bible. This is because they realize that we do teach the Bible so they can only present emotive arguments and biased and false opinions about our practices.
When we see how weak, unreasonable, illogical, and downright false such opposing arguments are then we are even more convinced that we have the Truth and are part of the Christ’s True “Church” today (Dan.12:3; Mt.13:39-43).
    Yours,
    BAR-ANERGES

  15. Rustic B Says

Despite what Julius claims, the Jehovah’s Witnesses do indeed have levels that correspond with points and congregational privileges (much like Yahoo Answers). Here are a few of them:
    Level 1: Students
    Level 2: Associates
    Level 3: Unbaptized publishers
    Level 4: Auxiliary pioneers
    Level 5: Regular pioneers
    Level 6: Special pioneers
    Level 7: Missionaries
To answer your question, to make it to level 6, a member is required to document at least 130 hours per month of ministry time. There is some debate whether online service time counts.

  16. Happy in the Truth Says

There are no levels and there is no point system amongst the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Hours are reported only for record keeping and no individual Jehovah’s Witness is personally identified in the reports (beyond the congregational level). This is not some sort of marketing business where a brother or sister would receive any pressure to increase output. In fact, there are many inactive JWs and no condemnation is ever given them. Their productivity or lack of it is totally between them and Jehovah.
In no case, are special privileges or rewards give to members based on the number of hours in service. And there are no levels akin to the ones on Yahoo Answers. To claim otherwise, is pure nonsense. Finally, I should emphasize that all ministry hours are completely voluntary and no person receives financial compensation for them.
It is a ministry of love, not money.
