what the guy said above is just being a d i c k. Thats not what its about.
Thom (the lead singer) said that they made this song for amusement, another time he said this song was about chaos, utter chaos.
The song has three parts, each part was recorded differently and then put together.
I agree with thom and there is no real explanation to this song, It can mean so many things. But to me it’s actually just about a person who’s getting so paranoid that he begins to act like a android (in a political sense but I dunno, I think can be more, I generally don’t like thinking of songs in a political manner so i’m still thinking)
This is the paranoid part..
“Please could you stop the noise I’m trying to get some rest?
From all the unborn chicken voices in my head
What’s that, what’s that ”
This is were I get the political feeling “When I am king you will be first against the wall”
This is what paranoia makes you feel, and what it changes your beliefs into..
“Ambition makes you look pretty ugly
Kicking squealing gucci little piggy
This is the android part
“That’s it sir, you’re leaving,
the crackle of pig skin”
And somewhere in the song (its not in the lyrics) theres this background computer sort of voice singing “I may be paranoid, but im not an android.” or something like that. But I think thats just sarcasm.
Oh, I just thought of something. Paranoid Android was in their album called OK Computer. This album had themes that was based on technology and computers and things. So maybe the songs not in a political sense, it could be about how computers are going to take over the world?
I don’t know. This is my interpretation.

I think the wikipedia article is the best definition.
Although my personal interpritation is this: A average person living in a hectic 1st world country builds up a resilience to modern living, all the criminals, the traffic jams, annoying self-checkout tills that never work in supermarkets, untill he realices that in order to save his humanity he has too continue with the paradox of living with it and tolerating it at the same time because he feels that no one else will understand, even though everyone is thinking it but not saying it. The absurdity of the time and key changes suggest how moods can change and feelings alter due to the situations put in the lyrics. Which is why I find this song so funny and serious at the same time.
The phrase ‘I may be paranoid, but no android’ to me, suggest that although a human being has a neuroses, or negativity (the paranoia) , he remains human ( not a android), therefore redeeming himself by proxy of realising their fault.

On the whole, the interpritation is up too you, although most members of radiohead have stressed that the song is not to be taken (too) seriously.
To kill a demon made of wet sawdust. This sort of demon is almost impossible to kill the only way to do it is to cover its face with wet bread and karate chop its head off otherwise you are in trouble and so is the neighbourhood. Wet sawdust demons like to terrorise.
N.B. pressing its face into wet bread that is on the ground works best though you can get a result just by throwing the bread at its face.
The song name comes from a character in the Douglas Adams book The hitch hikers guide to the galaxy, Marvin the paranoid android
